How are we affected by the Ebola threat

As I’m sure everyone is aware, Ebola is creating a lot of uncertainty in West Africa at the moment. The accelerator program, and activities leading up to it, entail a lot of events and social gatherings. It therefore makes sense to delay activities until the state of emergency is removed. We can then start at a time when all startups are able to commit fully to developing their businesses and making best use of the resources available during the program.

For now, this means that the interview period is moved to September 1-10, all startups will be notified by September 12, and the program start date is moved to September 22. The Nigerian, West African, and international healthcare workers are in our thoughts and definitely deserve recognition for their courage and engagement as we hope for a speedy resolution during this difficult time.
